The standard 48" x 40" pallet was developed by the US military during World War II to efficiently move supplies through the supply chain. It was adopted by the grocery industry in the 1960s and became the dominant pallet size in North America.
Grade A pallets are in like-new condition with minimal cosmetic wear. All boards are intact, no significant staining or discoloration, all nails are flush and secure, and the pallet has full structural integrity. Ideal for retail display, export, food, and pharmaceutical applications. Grade B pallets are in good working condition with minor cosmetic imperfections such as slight discoloration or minor board repairs. They are structurally sound and great for general warehousing and domestic shipping. This is our most popular grade. Grade C pallets are functional with visible wear, darker staining, and possibly multiple repaired boards. They pass safety inspection but are best for one-way shipping, temporary use, or budget-conscious applications. All grades meet our safety and structural standards.
Standard sizes (like 48x40 GMA pallets) in Grades A, B, or C are typically available for same-day or next-day delivery from our in-stock inventory of 10,000+ pallets. Custom orders and less common sizes may take 3-5 business days depending on specifications and quantities. For emergency needs, we offer priority fulfillment with same-day delivery for orders placed before 10:00 AM on standard sizes. Large volume orders (5,000+ units) may require 5-7 business days for full fulfillment.
Yes! We offer tiered pricing for larger orders. Discounts typically start at 100 units (approximately 5% savings) and increase at 500 units (approximately 10%), 1,000 units (approximately 12%), and 5,000+ units (approximately 15% or more). We also offer special pricing for standing orders and recurring delivery programs. Contact us for a custom quote based on your specific volume, grade requirements, and delivery frequency.
Absolutely. We welcome customers to visit our facility during business hours to inspect our inventory, see our grading standards in person, and select specific pallets if desired. For large orders, we can also provide sample pallets of each grade for your evaluation before committing to a full order. We believe in transparency and want you to be completely confident in the quality you are receiving.

A single oak tree can produce approximately 40 standard pallets. By recycling and reusing pallets, we can extend the value of that tree by 5-10 times its single-use potential.
We accept cash, business checks, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), wire transfers, and ACH payments. For qualified businesses, we offer net-30 credit terms with approved credit applications. Standing order customers may be eligible for net-45 or net-60 terms depending on volume and payment history. We can provide detailed invoicing compatible with most ERP and accounting systems.
Absolutely! We buy used pallets of all conditions and sizes. We offer competitive per-pallet pricing based on size, grade, and quantity. For quantities over 100 pallets, we can arrange free pickup from your location. For smaller quantities, you can drop them off at our facility. We pay on pickup or delivery for established accounts, or within 7 business days for new customers. Our pallet buyback program turns your waste into revenue.
We accept pallets in any condition. Intact pallets in good shape (reusable as-is) command the best price — typically $2-$5 per pallet for standard GMA sizes. Pallets needing repair get a mid-range price. Even broken pallets have value as recycled wood material, though at a lower per-pallet rate. The only pallets we cannot accept are those contaminated with hazardous materials, chemicals, or biohazards.
Buyback pricing is based on several factors: pallet size and type (GMA 48x40 pallets have the highest demand and price), overall condition (Grade A commands premium, Grade C is lowest), quantity (larger volumes get better per-unit rates), and current market conditions. We provide free on-site assessments for quantities over 100 pallets, where our team inspects and grades your pallets to give you an accurate quote. Prices are always quoted before pickup so there are no surprises.

The pallet recycling industry in the United States employs over 45,000 people directly, making it a significant contributor to local economies across the country.
Yes! We offer pallet exchange programs where we deliver fresh pallets and pick up your used ones in the same trip. This eliminates storage of used pallets at your facility, provides a consistent supply of quality pallets, and generates buyback revenue — all in a single, efficient logistics operation. Exchange programs are available on weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedules.
We never send wood to landfills. End-of-life pallets are broken down and the wood is repurposed as landscape mulch (approximately 40%), animal bedding (approximately 25%), biomass fuel for industrial boilers (approximately 20%), or composite wood products and pressed board (approximately 15%). Every piece of wood finds a second life. Our zero-landfill commitment means 100% of materials are either reused, repaired, recycled into byproducts, or recovered for energy.
Yes! We offer weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly recurring pickup schedules tailored to your operation. This is a popular option for warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturers, and retail locations that generate a steady stream of used pallets. We handle all the logistics — scheduling, pickup, sorting, and payment. You simply stage your used pallets at the dock and we take care of the rest. Many of our recurring pickup customers receive preferred pricing.
Yes. Our recycling equipment is designed to process pallets with nails, staples, and fasteners intact. During the grinding process, nails are separated from the wood material using industrial magnets and metal detectors. The recovered nails and metal are sent to scrap metal recyclers. You do not need to remove any hardware from pallets before recycling them with us.
Did You Know?
Approximately 508 million pallets are repaired and returned to service each year in the US — that is more than the entire new pallet production of most other countries combined.
Significantly better. Wood in landfills decomposes anaerobically (without oxygen), producing methane — a greenhouse gas approximately 28 times more potent than CO2. Recycling diverts that wood into productive uses: mulch that enriches soil, biomass energy that replaces fossil fuels, and animal bedding that supports agriculture. Each recycled pallet also eliminates the need to harvest new trees, saving approximately 0.024 trees, 6.8 lbs of CO2 emissions, 3.5 gallons of water, and 12.7 kWh of energy per pallet compared to manufacturing new.
ISPM-15 (International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15) is an international regulation requiring wood packaging materials to be heat-treated to prevent the transfer of invasive pests between countries. The treatment involves raising the core temperature of the wood to 56 degrees Celsius (132.8 degrees Fahrenheit) and maintaining that temperature for a minimum of 30 minutes. You need ISPM-15 compliance if you are shipping on wood pallets to virtually any country outside the United States. Our certified facility can treat your existing pallets or supply pre-treated ones with official IPPC stamps and documentation.
Yes! We build pallets to any dimension, material specification, and load requirement. Common custom requests include oversized pallets for HVAC and industrial equipment, undersized pallets for retail displays and promotions, specific deck board spacing for product compatibility, and block pallets for automated warehouse systems. Custom orders typically take 3-5 business days. We can also add branding, custom staining, special treatments, foam inserts, tie-down points, or unique design features. Minimum quantity for custom builds is typically 25 pallets.
Yes. For businesses spending significantly on pallets each month, our consulting service can identify substantial cost savings. We analyze your pallet consumption patterns, damage rates, disposal costs, and supply chain flows to recommend optimal pallet types, grades, and management strategies. Our assessments typically identify 20-40% cost savings opportunities. This service is complimentary for businesses ordering 500+ pallets per month.

A properly maintained pallet can make 5-10 round trips through the supply chain before requiring significant repair. Some block pallets in managed pool systems last for 20+ years with regular maintenance.
For high-volume operations (typically 2,000+ pallets per month), we can embed our team at your facility to sort, grade, manage, and maintain pallets on-site. This eliminates double-handling, maximizes pallet reuse within your operation, and reduces overall pallet costs by 25-40%. Our on-site team provides daily inventory reporting, quality assurance, and seamless integration with your warehouse management system.
We deliver using our fleet of flatbed trucks, each capable of carrying 400-600 pallets per load depending on size and stacking. We can deliver to your dock, yard, or any accessible location. Our drivers are trained in safe unloading procedures and will place pallets exactly where you need them.
Delivery within the Wichita metro area (approximately 25-mile radius) is free for orders of 100+ pallets. For smaller orders or locations outside the metro area, delivery fees are calculated based on distance and quantity. We provide delivery quotes alongside product quotes so you always know the full cost before ordering. Many of our recurring customers qualify for free delivery regardless of order size as part of their partner program benefits.
Yes! We regularly deliver to farms, grain elevators, co-ops, and rural businesses throughout central and south-central Kansas. We serve locations in Sedgwick, Harvey, Butler, Reno, McPherson, Sumner, Cowley, Marion, Rice, Kingman, Harper, Barton, and surrounding counties. Rural delivery scheduling is coordinated to optimize routes, which helps keep delivery costs reasonable even for distant locations. For large orders (200+), rural delivery is often complimentary.
Did You Know?
Kansas is one of the top 10 states for pallet consumption due to its strong agricultural, manufacturing, and logistics sectors centered around the Wichita metro area.
Yes. We understand that pallet shortages can halt production lines and shipping operations. For standard sizes in stock, we offer same-day delivery for orders placed before 10:00 AM. For urgent needs placed later in the day, we can often accommodate next-morning delivery. Emergency delivery carries a small rush surcharge. Our Gold-tier partners receive same-day emergency fulfillment at no additional charge.
Each reused pallet saves approximately 0.024 trees from being harvested, prevents 6.8 lbs of CO2 emissions, conserves 3.5 gallons of water, and avoids 12.7 kWh of energy consumption compared to manufacturing a new one. Used pallets also divert wood waste from landfills where it would decompose and produce methane, a greenhouse gas 28 times more potent than CO2. At scale, a business switching 1,000 pallets per month from new to recycled saves the equivalent of 288 trees, 81,600 lbs of CO2, 42,000 gallons of water, and 152,400 kWh of energy annually.
We are working toward that goal through multiple initiatives. Our recycling operations already prevent significant CO2 emissions by keeping pallets in circulation — we estimate net carbon savings of over 500 metric tons of CO2 annually. We have invested in LED facility lighting (60% energy reduction), optimized delivery routes (15% fuel reduction), and prioritize local sourcing to minimize transportation emissions. We are evaluating solar panels for our facility and electric vehicles for local deliveries as next steps.
Yes! We provide detailed sustainability impact reports for our partner customers showing exact quantities of pallets reused, repaired, and recycled along with the calculated environmental savings in terms of trees saved, CO2 prevented, water conserved, and energy avoided. These reports are formatted to integrate directly with common ESG reporting frameworks. Many of our customers use this data in their annual sustainability reports, investor communications, and marketing materials.

Heat-treated pallets do not require any chemical application. The ISPM-15 standard only requires raising the core temperature to 56 degrees C for 30 minutes — a completely natural process that kills pests through heat alone.
We are ISPM-15 heat treatment certified (chemical-free pest treatment), NWPCA members (National Wooden Pallet & Container Association), OSHA safety compliant, and maintain a zero-landfill operation standard. Our new lumber sourcing prioritizes responsibly managed forests with chain-of-custody documentation. We also participate in local Kansas green business initiatives and support reforestation programs in our region.
Weight capacity depends on pallet size, construction type, and grade. For standard 48x40 GMA pallets: New pallets support approximately 2,800 lbs static, 2,500 lbs dynamic, and 2,200 lbs in racking. Grade A used pallets have comparable ratings. Grade B supports approximately 2,500 lbs static, 2,200 lbs dynamic, and 1,800 lbs racking. Grade C supports approximately 2,000 lbs static and 1,800 lbs dynamic but is not recommended for racking. Our heavy-duty custom pallets can support 4,000-6,000+ lbs depending on specifications.
Stringer pallets use long boards (stringers, typically 2x4 or 3x4 lumber) as the primary structural support running between the top and bottom decks. They are the most common and economical pallet type. Block pallets replace continuous stringers with blocks of wood (typically 6 or 9 blocks), providing true 4-way fork entry from all sides. Block pallets are preferred for automated warehouse systems, international shipping, and applications requiring maximum handling flexibility. Block pallets cost more but offer superior performance in high-throughput environments.
Inspect for these red flags before use: broken or missing deck boards (especially the lead boards), cracked or split stringers (particularly around notches and nail holes), protruding nails that could damage products or injure workers, excessive warping or twisting that prevents the pallet from sitting flat, signs of pest infestation (bore holes, sawdust, live insects), and contamination stains from chemicals or hazardous materials. If any of these conditions exist, the pallet should be set aside for repair or recycling. All pallets we sell are individually inspected and meet our safety standards.
Did You Know?
The global pallet market is estimated at over $80 billion annually. Wood pallets account for approximately 90% of all pallets in use in North America, with plastic and metal making up the remaining 10%.
Yes. For automated systems (robotic palletizers, AS/RS, AGVs, conveyor systems), we offer pallets with tight dimensional tolerances of +/- 1/4 inch. We recommend block pallets for full 4-way entry compatibility, uniform weight (important for conveyor weight sensors), and consistent block/stringer placement. We work directly with your automation integrator to ensure our pallets meet the exact specifications of your equipment. Many of our manufacturing customers use our precision-graded pallets in fully automated facilities.
